Materials created by Green Spring Extension Master Gardeners (GSEMG) are available for public use, reprint, or citation without further permission, provided the user credits GSEMG and Virginia Cooperative Extension. As long as users follow these guidelines, they can reprint the materials. Users are not permitted to sell GSEMG materials.

Contributors of images to the Green Spring Extension Master Gardeners (GSEMG) website (gsemg.org) maintain copyright and dictate use of their images. Express permission is not required to use these images for the purposes listed below, provided the user credits the photographer/artist/author and GSEMG.

Educational Use

Educational institutions may download, reproduce and use GSEMG images and associated captions, as well as recorded presentations, in the preparation of course or instructional materials by teachers or students for non-profit educational activities.

Personal Use

Individuals may download, reproduce and use GSEMG images and associated captions, as well as recorded presentations, posted on the world wide web for personal, noncommercial purposes.

News Media Use

News media may download, reproduce and use GSEMG images and associated captions, as well as recorded presentations, in news reporting on GSEMG projects and programs.

Images attributed to a specific organization other than GSEMG must follow that source’s image use policy. To request permission to use images or recorded presentations for commercial or other purposes not defined above, please send a “Request Regarding Image/Presentation Use” to gspublicityteam@gmail.com with information identifying the specific image, name of the photographer/artist, and article/material title with which it is associated. or the specific presentation requested.
