Green Spring Edible Garden
The Edible Garden is a demonstration garden where we grow produce. The produce is donated to a local food bank. The garden is maintained by Green Spring Garden Extension Master Gardeners and interns with weekly sessions.
School Gardens Advisory Team
Green Spring Extension Master Gardeners work with elementary and secondary schools in Fairfax County, upon request. The team provides direction, hands-on demonstrations, and resources for creating, restoring and maintaining outdoor learning spaces that support the development of environmental stewardship and the curriculum. A photo from a recent project is above: the courtyard at Lake Anne Elementary School.
Wellness Circle Healing Gardens
The Wellness Circle Healing Gardens were created for Horticulture Therapy at a Crisis Care Center in the heart of Fairfax County. Master Gardeners designed, built, and maintain the gardens with the clients learning and working in the garden with us.
Wolf Trap Woodland Garden
Green Spring Extension Master Gardeners work with National Park Service staff on the design and maintenance of this demonstration garden at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. The Woodland Garden features more than 180 varieties of plants that are mostly native to Virginia and the Mid-Atlanctic Region.
